Welcome to a brand-new season of See Her Now. This one is called Radiant Embodiment, and I can’t wait to share it with you!
We’ve spent a lot of time on this podcast talking about transformation: getting clear on what you want, creating a vision, letting go of what no longer fits, and integrating what you know to be true. But there comes a point when knowing isn’t enough.
You have to embody it.
Embodiment isn’t just thinking differently. It’s living differently. It’s letting the things you say you want — joy, gratitude, ease, confidence, love, freedom, abundance — become part of how you actually move through your day. And not someday. Right now.
Here are four qualities to start with.

1. Joy: a practice of noticing and allowing
Joy isn’t something that happens to you. It’s something you practice noticing and allowing.
In Atlas of the Heart, Brené Brown writes about how vulnerable joy is. To let ourselves feel it, we have to risk the feeling that it could be taken away. So sometimes we walk through life in a shell, fearful of losing something so beautiful and potentially fleeting.
I get that. It takes courage to choose joy all the way. But joy is our natural state. My mom used to tell me about taking me to Kmart at about six months old to get my picture taken. I laughed and laughed, and the photographers couldn’t believe it. Like so many others, I was born into an unpredictable, chaotic family, but joy was there anyway. Babies aren’t afraid of joy. I think that’s why we can’t stop looking at them when they smile.
So here’s my question for you: if you prioritized joy today, what would you do differently?
Maybe you’d play music while you get ready. Or you’d call the friend who makes you laugh. Plan a fun trip. Or read your book in the park for 20 minutes – one of my favorite joy triggers.
Here in London, there are flower carts everywhere, and the joyful version of me doesn’t walk past them. She stops, looks, and maybe takes some home. She lingers at the cafe an extra twenty minutes and just watches the world go by.
Joy lives in ordinary moments. We only have to be present enough to receive it. Being in a state of joy is magnetic. It draws what we’re seeking toward us.
2. Gratitude: the rock everything else is built on
I talk about gratitude a lot, and I’ll keep doing it, because it’s the foundation. I want gratitude in the walls of my home, in the floor, in the ground I walk on.
And I’m enjoying this spin on it: “I love what is here, and I am excited about what is still coming.”
Sometimes we think that being grateful means we shouldn’t want anything more. But I don’t think that’s true. You can hold both at once. In fact, that’s the secret. You can be grateful for what’s already in your life and still wish for what’s next. Living in that frequency of gratitude is embodiment.
3. Ease: letting the flow lead
This one is powerful!
We’re hardwired to believe that effort is always what gets rewarded. Effort matters. But what about ease?
I see this most with clients and friends who are looking for a partner. When we come from effort and force in love, we’re going against the grain. And underneath that forcing is usually fear: if I don’t push, it won’t happen. Letting go of that fear opens the channel for something to arrive.
What would ease look like for you? Taking a day to rest. Letting something unfold instead of controlling exactly how it happens.
My husband and I travel a lot, and I’ve found that the more ease I bring to planning, the better the trip. With a looser plan, we can say yes to the spontaneous cocktail or the last-minute dinner with friends. We’re heading to Edinburgh soon, and I already know I’ll feel it more if I’m present than if I’m following a schedule.
4. Trust: you don’t need all the answers to begin
Trust is the other side of ease. To allow flow, you have to trust that you can let go a little and let a greater energy lead. Relationships change, careers change, business changes. **Embodiment means you don’t need all the answers before you begin living.
It has layers: trusting that things will work out, trusting in a higher plan, and trusting yourself to make decisions when they need to be made.
This weekend I got to practice! We were traveling, landed in Porto, and were held in a holding area with hundreds of people, none of them moving. After 45 minutes, we reached the automated passport gates. My husband went straight through. Mine didn’t clear, and they sent me to the manual line—for almost two and a half hours.
I decided to allow it. I stood there reading, shuffling forward five inches at a time, and finished my book. People around me were shouting and extremely angry. They didn’t get through any faster than I did, and I came out in a good place. My husband had a coffee waiting, and off we went on a fantastic trip.
Even a curveball is a chance to embody a higher vibration.
Meet the woman you’re becoming
Take a moment and picture her: the version of you who already has what you want. Then ask:
- How does she move through the world?
- Is she playful, creative, free-spirited, still?
- What does she believe about herself, and about life?
- What does she no longer tolerate?
- How does she spend a Monday, a Friday, a Sunday afternoon?
- How does she treat herself?
And the most important question: how can I embody her today?
We often put the cart before the horse. We wait to become her and then plan to live differently. But it works the other way round: you live differently, and that’s how you become her.
Your invitation this week
Radiant embodiment isn’t about becoming a shinier, more perfect version of yourself. It’s about bringing what you already know into the way you live.
Choose one quality: joy, ease, confidence, freedom, trust. Instead of asking “How do I get there?”, ask “What would it look like to embody this today?” Then do one small thing from that place.
The woman you’re becoming isn’t waiting somewhere in the future. She’s already right here. And it’s time to let her lead.
